Electric Car | The New Trend Of Living Is Unfolding

May 29th, 2010 — 7:17am

A new style of living is unfolding on this world. Challenges that seem to overwhelm current remedies are drawing on concept and imagination.

Fossil fuel provided a resource for a foundation that positively defined the 20th century. Suburbia, highways, and a lifestyle in several ways released from space came with our automobile. Therefore so did many other things. Fossil fuel could never be exhausted. When the automobile was first built and conceived, fossil fuel positively had no value and was the perfect answer for an energy resource that was bountiful, inexpensive, and easily approachable.

I remember taking trips when I was a child and when we entered the state of Texas we began counting countless oil wells. Who would have thought at that time that we would run out of this unlimited resource and consecrate what has been coined by James falcon as ‘the greatest change of wealth’ in the history of mankind.

The dinosaur is dead and a new day is dawning.

What’s so special about electric cars is that for all the promise of clean, renewable energy, there is now a practical answer, for the particular demands this kind of car does have.

Manufacturers have identified that most urban work travel is less than 100 miles, that the ability of electric car meets the needs of the typical driver in the United States and the industrial world.

Like all technologies, which may focus on indigenous economic science, skills and potential of lithium ion battery is still a regular basis. The use of silicon instead of graphite, which allows a lot more energy stored in silicon absorbs a larger number of lithium in downloads. If you look at the whole development of computer storage and memory capacity of demand, it is clear that when the electric car is a viable option for consumers, these same advances are made in response and a bazaar. Lithium ion battery can be recycled in a simple environment. Almost 95% of battery materials can be improved.

When we met with electricity, fuel resource has been here, the funds to stay here, and manufacturing resources are produced here, the tax revenue our government in trouble will stay here. The dawn of a new day may be the inspiration of our founding fathers more powerful, independence and autonomy begins.

Sun Power In The 21st Century

May 28th, 2010 — 9:03am

Solar energy isn’t a new concept for the new millennium. In fact, the use of solar panels and solar energy has existed for several decades, though its use has been limited by a variety of factors. For starters, solar panels are rather large and are usually best suited to areas that won’t be obscured by them. Some major businesses, especially energy suppliers, have massive sections of solar panels in valleys and deserts, kept away from cities.

Yet business owners have also long known the wonderful benefits of using solar panels in their own house. Solar energy can actually lower electric bills, as well as the expense of heating a home in the winter. A variety of devices for public consumption that harness solar energy can be connected to the roof of the home owner’s house, minimizing the risk of upsetting your neighbors.

Which leaves the question of how can solar energy provide for the average home owner who is merely aiming to afford the live from one month to the next in this tough economic times? For one, the aforementioned benefits of saving money on the electric bill, as well as some level of the heating costs in the winter, or cooling costs in the summer, is an important initial step.

At this time, solar energy isn’t going to power a household on its own, unless the home owner has the ability of housing many solar panels on his or her roof or in their yard. Solar energy instead provides a boost to the electrical input into the business. When people can supplement the energy they take in from the electric company is the amount that they will hold onto over the course of months and years.

The idea of using solar energy in the twenty-first century is about conservation, much like shutting light bulbs in rooms that no one is using at present. Every time one person manages to save a bit of energy through conservation, they in turn help the overall power grid by freeing up energy. Since a vast number of people today is still created using fossil fuels, such as oil, then every time one person reduces their consumption, they are also making a difference in the world.

Solar energy is one of the most pure and replenishing forms of energy in the world today. The sun is a regular object in the sky, moving from east to west during the day, and between north and south as the seasons shift. The only thing one needs to consider when thinking about solar energy is the amount of sunshine that exists in their location on average during the course of a year. Some locations, such as the Pacific Northwest have more cloudy days than sunny. In this case, solar energy will still be useful because the power is trapped in battery cells until the consumer is ready to use it.

However, in regions with abundant sunshine, the use of solar energy can be even more vital. Solar energy should not be thought of as the wave of the future; that future is here today.

Popular Forms Of Alternative Energy Sources

May 27th, 2010 — 10:26am

Throughout history, we have seen change in the kinds of energies used. As early as the 1200s, nation swapped wood for coal as deforestation occurred locally. 300 years later, societies then depended on petroleum after depleting the supply of whale oil used to fuel lamps. In the early 1900s, corn-based ethanol oil supplied the need for energy.

When the globe started to run on wheels and navigate the skies and seas, the need for fuel increased, eventually drying up local oil wells. As a result, the US turned to importing oil to maintain transportation, industry, and domestic needs moving, eventually relying so heavily on foreign oil that 58% of its supply is now imported.

Also the depletion of our natural energy resources, across the globe, people are also feeling the effects of the growing cost of electricity and the rising cost of living expenses. On the home front, this poses a dilemma, as family needs are a priority, and electricity definitely qualifies as a vital need.

The switch to alternative sources of energy will take time to put into action across the country but as the energy landscape changes, more homes and industries will be using alternative energy. This will be good for economies dependent on pricey imported oil, like the United States.

In case of domestic, Solar Energy is one of the popular renewable alternative energy This choice uses photovoltaic technology to convert sunlight into electrical energy. Solar panels alone produce hot water and steam. Combined, these technologies render optimum energy to power homes. In case of carbon dioxide, solar energy has very low levels of carbon dioxide emissions compared to gasoline and other chemical element that is partly to blame for climate change.

For geothermal energy, the earth’s heat is tapped to supply energy needs. To ambush this energy, holes are drilled deep to the level where a potential geothermal heat spot is present. The escaping steam is directed into a turbine linked to a running generator, which converts steam to electricity. This is the preferred method for large industry and utility companies.

The householder, however, need not dig so far to enjoy the benefits of geothermal energy. The geothermal heat pump uses the stable ground temperature a few hundred feet below the ground to supply you with heat and air conditioning. It also supplies warm water.

Wind energy is converted to electricity with the use of wind turbines. Wind power produces a minimum 1.5 per cent of the world’s electricity. Presently, this is a popular alternative energy source in Denmark, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Wind Energy What Will Happen If Wind Drops

May 26th, 2010 — 8:11am

When we chose the alternative sources of energy, we must ensure that the variants are less reliable than traditional fossil fuels. Use strong demand for wind energy is fortunate that the wind will be. If this happens, then the result is a state and therefore potentially brilliant immediately destroy the reputation of renewable energy.

To build reliability into this great commodity, we need to overcome the difficulty of intermittency. One plan of overcoming this has been launched by an Irish company called the Spirit of Ireland. They plan to use wind energy on our coast to pump sea water into man made Fjords (lakes) which can be controlled by a set of dames. the man made lakes will store the water until we get a reduced wind supply, Once the wind drops off the gates of the dame are opened up to allow the water flow through generators to create a solid, guaranteed source of electrical energy.

If we can harness the great potential that wind energy on our western coast holds and also tap into the vast amounts of wave and seaward wind energy then Ireland could become the “Rechargeable Battery of Europe”

If we can develop this I think that there is a definite future for the Irish economy to grow as a principal provider of not only wind energy, but if our government plans it right we could develop some series expertise in this industry through our universities and become leaders in the renewable energy race.

Great Sources Of Electricity In The Energy Ball V200

May 24th, 2010 — 9:05am

For those who have thought about whether you could have another choice and renewable energy source, rather than continually relying on the power company and paying high rates for electricity, then the Energy Ball v200 could be the answer. An aerodynamic and artistic design offers any homeowner the ability to harness the vast power of the wind and convert it into electricity in their home.

The Energy Ball v200 is the larger brother of the v100 and manufacture up to 2,500 watts of power and only demands 6.7 miles per hour of wind to operate and start producing power. If you are unfamiliar with the levels of wind in your region, this is a mild breeze and most regions of the world produce at least this much wind on any given day.

The oblong shape and unique appearance of the Energy Ball v200’s rotating blades capture the wind not just in one dimension, like most windmills and wind turbines, but as it passes through, creating more rotation and thus more electricity. The purpose of these blades to produce more electrical power with less wind.

Because of the nature of volatile energy prices and battles in Congress over the expansion of nuclear power plants, offshore oil drilling, producing ethanol from crops, and other options for us to get our electricity in the future, renewable energy is still the primary advantage for homeowners. By creating your own electricity with the use of wind power, or even solar power, you can cut your dependence on the power from the electric companies.

The Energy Ball v200 will regularly make electrical power, without a concern of what the weather is doing, just so long as a breeze is blowing. Of course, for many people, this won’t completely wipe out your dependence on external power, but it will get you a long way to cutting down on your next bill. By supplementing your power consumption with the Energy Ball v200, you also open up power for other parts of the region, or even reduce the need for the power company to make it.

The Energy Ball turbine doesn’t look anything like a piece of machinery, so that it can be located just about anywhere in your property that has a fair source of wind. Of course, you don’t want to place it near the shadow of the house or under massive trees. The best idea is to place this unit in the open where the wind can approach it from any direction.

The turbine rotates just like a regular windmill or wind turbine so that wherever the wind is arriving from, it will rotate the unit to face the wind and thus capture as much as possible. By making as much as 2,500 watts of power, this can run any number of electrical devices in the home, including computer systems, refrigerators, air conditioning units, and much more.

Most of these devices will be incorporated into the power input of the home so that when you need more power, you still receive from the main power company.

Alternative Energy For Homes

May 23rd, 2010 — 7:13am

For residence new trend is install alternative energy inside it, from the wind turbines producing electricity and the solar collection cells that include hydrogen cells. It is a modern technology that continues in the 21st There is a lot of necessitate to become energy independent and therefore, households need to rely excluding on energy derived from fossil fuels and be able to prepare alternative energy. Unstable nations are normally the ones who supply fossil fuels; however, there is the constant need to become off grid and thus, become independent from this type of production. The fossil fuel manufacture is maintained by corporation interests, giant oil company directors and some of them are even involved in background conspiracy, so creating a vicious circle which cannot give up relying on fossil fuel.

We need to restructure the electricity market and do even more research on transmission, distribution infrastructure and diversify the present means of producing bazaar. Power providers can broaden their businesses by earning back lost revenues through micro generation in the domestic energy. therefore, UK analysts have conducted some study and have establish out that there are more and more people trying to acquire alternative energies. This style into adopting alternative energies is inspired by government recommendation concerning environmental degradation; here is the desire to become energy independent and this is encouraged at all costs.

Latest analysis has pointed out that heating through solar energy can be another lucrative alternative to implement in the future. when firstly costly to place such as method, it would become profitable for the long run to use this alternative in the long term, because the benefits obtained from the technology would eventually outweigh the costs. One should give careful attention before installing such a plan and specially, make sure they are really eager to pursue that step and not another.

when solar powers has not yet become cost effective to install at larger scales, for instance in corporations, it has become nevertheless an idea worth considering. There are a lot of downfalls to it nonetheless, because especially at a wider scale, one would have to modify a lot of plumbing systems to enforce the foundation for the solar energy heating system. In the home however, individual users can decrease the costs for the long run by constantly saving up money from the bills they pay for energy. therefore, even though the prices for installing alternative energies remain high, the theme will surely catch on in the future.

Make Your Own Fuel As Alternative Energy

May 15th, 2010 — 7:30am

Is substitute energy good for our environment? Alternative energy is classified as a clean energy that produces little to none of the hazardous emissions that come from other energy sources like burning coal wood or gas

One of the most usually asked questions from someone just learning about alternative energy benefits would be, “Why is alternative energy good for us?” The answer is simple, alternative energy may be the only way to produce energy in the future. Fossil Fuels such as coal or natural gas are limited to what is already available. How much we can mine out from deep within the Earth plays a big factor in how long we will be able to use these fossil fuels. Generations to come may need to use alternative energy if all of the fossil fuels are gone.

These energy sources can easily be replenished in a short amount of time. Fossil fuels like coal and natural gas cannot be replaced. Once these sources are at a low level they are gone from our Earth.

Alternative energy good in some cases but not in others. Alternative energy cannot be stored up in big amounts to provide energy when there is no sun or no wind. Fossil fuels like coal and wood can be stockpiled to extend the energy needs of the people for a extensive period of time.

Why is alternative energy good for people in remote locations? People who choose to build their homes in remote locations can benefit from using solar power as an alternative to paying for electric lines to be run all the way to them. These homes are considered to be off the grid. This just means that they produce enough energy from solar panels to run their house independent from any electric company.

We have to advance our analyze for alternative energy sources and how they can be utilized over a wide scale. The need to no longer mine coal and cut down trees to fuel our electric plants will be realized with new ways to use alternative energy and make it useable on a wider scale.

How To Build Solar Panels In Your Own Home!

April 20th, 2010 — 9:08am

The day has arrived when you have to think about how to build solar panels in your own home to save energy bills and therefore precious money and do your little bit for saving the environment.

The advantage of this experiment is to learn about something first-hand what one has only read about. This way you will know what it is for yourself. And your entire family can participate too! To begin, head out to the hardware department.

Once there, buy half a square foot of a sheet of copper flashing, an electric stove, a large mouth bottle, glass or plastic (5 litre mineral jar), a sensitive micro-ammeter, few table spoons of table salt, tap water, sand paper or wire brush on an electric drill, metal shears and three alligator clip leads.

Next, heat stove on high and put copper sheet on it. The sheet will turn into an orange, purple, red or pink color; soon you will see these colors disappear and the sheet darkens. In this manner, the sheet should be BAKED for 30 minutes.

After this, place copper sheet on stove again and turn on stove to highest heating setting. What you want is for the sheet to turn orange, red, purple or pink; then as the stove heats more, the color from the sheet vanishes and soon, the sheet will darken. It needs to be COOKED for a half hour.

When 30 minutes are up, switch off electric stove and allow sheet to cool at its own pace. The sheet will shrink. You will see flaking happening now and once completely cooled, hold it under running water and flake off very gently. DO NOT brush hard or it might damage the SOLAR PANEL.

Now, cut another piece of the copper sheet keeping the same size at the first one. Place the two in the bottle whose neck is cut. The sheets should not come in contact with each other. The portion of the sheet that faced up while being heated on the stove must be kept facing outward in the bottle.

Now, attach your clip leads, one to the new copper plate, and one to the COOKED one. The clean sheet should be attached to the positive side of the meter and the cooked one to the negative.

Mix hot tap water with a few table spoons of salt until completely dissolved. Pour the saltwater into the bottle taking care not to wet the clip leads. Pour rill about an inch of the copper sheets are above water. Your solar cell is ready!

To think it would light up bulbs and other electrical appliances would be foolish. This power box can produce only 50 micro amps at 0.25 volts. One will need hundreds of these to power an entire home which would be a major expenditure.

Alternative Energy Solutions

April 16th, 2010 — 8:50am

Alternative energy is energy derived in such a way that it does not harm the environment or the fuel sourced that it relies on. The debate against common energy solutions such as fossil fuels (petroleum, coal, etc.) that are in use today is an old one. They harm the environment and are a cause of pollution, whereas on the other hand they are non-reusable, that is that they would eventually run out as we have a limited supply of them and they cannot be replaced, hence the need for alternative energy solutions.

Large number of alternative energy solutions has been identified by the scientists and researchers of the world and they have been trying to improve the quality and methods of production of energy from them for so long. Some of solutions which have been put into practice are as follows;

Wind power solutions have the capacity to use the power of the winds and help drive small turbines or windmills that in turn generate electricity through specially designed converters. The generators are nothing but rotating fans in large sizes that are rotated by the wind, thereby generating kinetic energy into electricity. Farms have been setup in various parts of the world to harvest wind power and they have been proved successful in many places. Even the idea of floating wind power farms is being tested in the middle of the oceans and if it succeeds, then the power generation industries will see a huge revolutionary change.

Biomass or Biogas is the fuel obtained from plants and organic matter available in the earth and they are produced by first transforming them into briquettes and then by burning them to a specific form in a specialized boiler. They produce heat and generate methane when treated with an anaerobic environment of bacterial decomposition. The heat is then used to run turbines and generators which produce electricity and the natural gas or the methane gas produced can be used as a cooking fuel. Biomass, which is the resultant quantity of the process, will function as a cleaner.

Harnessing the power from the sun is possible by the process of solar energy conversion process and they are done by using solar panels to gather the sun rays, converting them to electricity. Storing them in batteries as backup for its use at night is possible here and when this process is combined with the wind power generation, a continuous power supply is possible for our needs.
